The Beginners Guide to Meditation

1.Mindfulness Meditation is learning how to pay attention to the breath as it goes in and out, and to notice when the mind gets distracted and learning how to get back to the breath. this builds the muscles of attention and mindfulness. this helps us remain in the present moment without judgement.

  • Sit or lie in a comfortable position

  • Close you eyes

  • Don’t force the breathing, just breath.

  • Focus your attention to the breath as you feel the air go in and out. Also feel how the body moves with each breath

  • Do this for a minute first and build up. You don’t want to get too frustrated when your mind wanders. It’s a practice.

2.Why Meditate.

  • Lower stress

  • Connect better

  • Improve focus

  • Reduce brain chatter
